Starting September 1, 2025, El Paso Health will begin covering some of your acute care services — simplifying your experience with no changes to your coverage or costs.
This message is to notify you about a change in how some of your Medicaid benefits will be paid. You don't need to take any action, and you can continue accessing your care as you do now. This change simplifies processes for both you and your provider.
Starting September 1, 2025, El Paso Health will cover some of your current acute care benefits. The services you are already eligible for will be coordinated through El Paso Health and funded by traditional Medicaid (fee-for-service). After September 1, 2025, El Paso Health will fund these services instead of traditional Medicaid (fee-for-service). You will still receive long-term care benefits through El Paso Health. There are no changes to your Medicare or Medicaid coverage or costs.
